Ethics of Practice
An Invitation to Safety, Integrity, and Sacred Space
1. My Core Commitments
I hold my work as sacred. I come to each client and group space with the intention to serve from compassionate curiosity, loving awareness, and a deep respect for the unfolding of your journey.
I commit to:
Holding space with non-judgment, presence, and care
Honoring each person’s autonomy, dignity, and timing
Upholding confidentiality and sacred trust
Grounding my work in love, not fear
Honoring the full spectrum of human experience—birth, life, death, and rebirth
2. Scope of Practice
I am not a licensed medical provider, therapist, or counselor. My offerings do not include diagnosis, treatment, or prescription of any kind.
I offer:
Death and grief companionship
Spiritual guidance and reflection
Energy work and quantum conversation
Reflective journaling and inner inquiry
Support through the Four Bodies Healing Method (Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual)
When needed, I refer out to qualified professionals.
3. Trauma-Informed Practice
I recognize that we each carry lived experiences in our bodies, minds, and hearts. I honor that trauma may arise, and I:
Respect your right to pause, redirect, or decline any part of our work
Avoid pushing or “fixing”
Listen deeply without trying to interpret or solve
Trust your timing and capacity
Create space for integration after each session
4. Consent and Autonomy
All work is collaborative. I do not claim to have your answers. I am here to walk with you, not lead you away from yourself.
I seek clear, ongoing consent before and during any session
I believe you are the ultimate authority on your experience
You are free to end our work at any time, with or without reason
5. Inclusivity and Respect
I welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and spiritual paths. I honor intersectionality and the uniqueness of every life story.
Harmful or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated in any space I hold.
6. Boundaries and Integrity
I am clear about my role and maintain professional and energetic boundaries. I do not enter into dual relationships that may compromise trust, safety, or clarity.
I commit to ongoing self-inquiry and resourcing to ensure I show up cleanly and in alignment.
7. Confidentiality
What you share in session is held in confidence, unless:
You give explicit permission for it to be shared
Disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others)
I hold group spaces with the same intention, though I cannot guarantee what others may share outside the container.
8. Accountability and Feedback
I welcome feedback as an invitation to deepen trust and integrity.
If you ever feel hurt, unsure, or uncomfortable, I invite you to share this with me. I will listen with humility and care, and take full responsibility for any harm caused.
9. Self-Care and Right Relationship
I commit to doing my own inner work. I engage in practices that nourish my body, emotions, mind, and spirit so that I may serve from a place of alignment, not depletion.
I will never expect a client to hold space for me. My healing is my responsibility.
10. A Sacred Agreement
This is not a contract to sign—it is a reflection of the energy I bring to our work together. If we walk together for a while, know that I am holding the field with reverence and love.
You are safe here.
You are wise.
You are free.
You are already whole.
With love,
Pamela Rathbun
